They're beautiful! If you're looking for a quick jar try Walmart - I found some ranging $.99 to $3.99 depending on the size - I used them for salt hand scrub and they worked well.

Sure! I got the recipe somewhere on the web and just tweaked it slightly. For each 8 oz jar i used:

1/2 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar in the raw (course for exfoliating!)
1/2 tsp vitamin E oil
1/4 cup olive oil (you could use almond oil as well)
5-6 drops of lavender essential oil.

all very easy ingredients to find. all you have to do is mix it up in a big bowl and scoop it into the jars. smells heavenly. Smiley

thanks so much for sharing!
I have some questions about the ingredients:
-what is exactly the light brown sugar? I see different kind of brown sugars in shops, but I'm not sure which one I should use for this. Do you have by chance a picture?

- sugar in the raw: I found this page http://www.sugarintheraw.com/
Sugar In The Raw is a natural, unrefined sugar made from sugar cane grown in Maui. Juice is extracted from the sugar cane, and then crystallized through evaporation. These crystals are rinsed with a very small amount of water to remove just enough stickiness to make the product free flowing. We pack this turbinado sugar and market it as Sugar In The Raw.

we don't have this brand in Italy. I guess it's a kind of brown sugar. What does it look like?

- vitamin E oil: we don't have it in Italy. I will see if I can buy Vitamin E in pharmacy, or I will use an oil rich in Vitamin E (olive oil, i.e.)

- almond oil goes rancid not in a long time, so better use other oils (jojoba, olive...)

Thanks again for sharing, they really look great!

edit: I found this page about different kind of brown sugars. I will read it with care!

The sugar in the raw is a really course sugar that is good for exfoliating. I would bet that there is something similar in italy, good luck finding it! the light brown sugar is a soft brown sugar that is very fine and lighter in color than the dark brown sugar (i guess there's less molasses in it).
