Details of swap:

After watching American- swappers delighting each other, round after round, with super stuffed flat rate boxes, Irish Molly suggested an European- swap! And I agree. It is time for us Europeans to put together super packages! We will craft, we will de-stash and we will advertise superiority of our own respective countries shamelessly.

This swap is a six points of crafts, supplies and my country doesnt have that.
The box you are sending should be sized approximately 384 x 288 x 96 mm. It can be bigger and dont sweat it if it comes slightly under. This is just a guideline to make sure everyone gets somewhat equal amount of goodies. So when you are sending your box, make sure it has approximately 1/3 of crafts, 1/3 of supplies and 1/3 my country doesnt have that.

Discuss with your partner about the details. Could be that one person has 4 yards of fabric they hate but their partner would kill to have but havent found it. And hey presto, you have managed to stuff with you box with supplies and my country doesnt have that. Just with one item! Be resourceful! Be creative! Lets not be like those bureaucrats in Brussels. Anal that is.

Remember: Six points of crafts, supplies and my country doesnt have that.
Here is the link to the discussion about this swap

Size Guide
3 pts = large
2 pts = medium
1 pt = small

LARGE:  3 or more hours, 22 or more (a shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewellery with four to five items, a purse)
MEDIUM: 2 to 3 hours, 7-22 (a scarf, a simple bag)
SMALL: less than 2 hours, less than 7 (earrings, a wallet)

Supplies and my country doesnt have that items can be from a thrift store. Europe is expensive and mass produced stuff are quite similar everywhere we go so this is one way of making the package more unique. But no matter what you do discuss with your partner about the expectations and the money you can afford to spend.

Your obligations as a participant of European Swapper Fest
* Keep in regular contact with your partner
* Post at least once a week about your progress in the thread.
* PM me and your partner when you send and when you receive.
* Get a tracking code. This is should be available in European Countries for European Countries. However, if not, keep your receipts.
* When you receive, post photographs in the gallery

Remember to read the Swap Info Guide for other details about participating in a swap.

I reserve the right to deny participation for the following reasons:

* ANY negative feedback comments
* Poor communication in past swaps
* Sending late in past swaps
* Does not agree to send outside of home country

I am soooo joining this one !!!
Thanjyou so much for extending the send out date !

But there's something I don't get
do you mean 6 point of crafts ... and than throw in what you want on the 'Supplies and My country doesn't have that' thing?
Or do you mean 6 points of crafts, supplies and my country doesn't have that ...

I think the first one?

I wondered the same thing.  6 points to include EVERYTHING really isn't that much!

Although I suppose there are markets nearby where I can get fabric for really cheap, and charity shops for books etc so you could get quite a lot in 6 points if you put a bit of thought into it.

I love the idea of this swap, I'll send in my questionnaire later.

It is six points of crafts AND supplies AND my country doesn't have that. The points on the info are just for the crafts.
I have received the first sign-ups. Yay! I will update the participant list tomorrow. (Not at home at the moment).
Hopefully we'll have tons of participants!

I went through the discussion we had in the New Swap Ideas Thread and found my old post about different European Countries and what they are famous for.

Germany...Ritter. Natural cosmetics. Detective- series (Der Alte anyone?). Alpine- style. Industrial style. Graphic design.
UK...Cadbury- chocolate. Options- hot chocolate. Tweed. Floral prints. Quirky fashion.
Netherlands...Stroo pwafels. Drops. Delft blue. Design. Fashion.
Belgium...Waffles. Lace. Fashion. Beer. Chocolate
Finland...Vodka. Chocolate. Design. Large prints.

More suggestions are welcome! And please, do promote your own country shamelessly. That's what this swap is for!

This is for people how are residents of any European country. It doesn't mean you have to be a citizen as long as you are living in Europe right now.
