For Christmas I made one of my really awesome friends an apron. We both really like the Beatles, so this was way too much fun and pretty easy even though I had no patterns to go by. All of the fabric was random remnants and scraps from previous projects. The tie goes on the side instead of the back so that you can see the bow when wearing it. The yellow submarine is made of furry stuff, and the octopus is fleece. Both are ironed on with fusible stuff. The flowers are pieces of fake flowers with random fabric circles under buttons. The main fabric is a pink/black mix, but it is hard to tell in the harsh lighting of the photo.

I was going to do hearts and strawberries on it too, but ran out of time because our Christmas party was last night.

And yes, the octopus is really something like a hectapus. Oh well.

She actually did squeal a bit when she got it last night... but strangely she squealed more over the Littlest Pet Shop toy that I also gave her. And she is 21..... silly, right?
