hello! i am currently knitting a hat for my mama for christmas, and somehow it seems to be turning into a mobius strip like so:
http://web.syr.edu/~eqcallah/mobius.jpg

this is the pattern i am using:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spring-beret#
(sorry if you don't have ravelry, i think it is a pretty basic lace slouchy beret and not very hard at all)

sorry if this is really unclear, i will try to post some picture of it soon!

anyways, i was wondering if you think it will straighten out on its own? or should i start over?
any questions feel free to ask and thanks so much for looking/helping!

Most likely it got twisted when you joined it.  It won't straighten itself out, you'll have to frog it.  Sorry.

Sorry, but you gotta yank it out and start over.  This happens when you twist your cast on stitches during joining.

Ditto what the others said, but now I'm thinking that knitting a mobius strip on purpose would be totally fun. With little fair isle ants...yes. Wink
