ooh those look delicious! chocolate chip pancakes were always a special treat for me as a child too, but it was generally at my grandparents' houses because well, grandparents spoil their grandkids, and I was the only one on my dad's side of the family for almost 6 years. my dad used to make blueberry pancakes (or whatever berries we'd happen to find in the woods) when we went camping as a kind of tradition as well.

I think I'm going to have to try your recipe, as I dont think I've had from-scratch pancakes since my grandmother discovered boxed-mixes when I was very young.

Chocolate chips don't sound that strange to me. I sometimes make pancakes with pesto, paprika and cheese. Pancakes with bacon are really good too!

We had chocochip pancakes every sunday too! Made by my mom though!  Once my sister and I got old enough to make them, we took over.   We would make a tiny little pancake for our little brother and put what ever spices in it we could find.  We thought it was funny.  He did not.  But maybe for christmas this year, we will make him abunch of tiny little normal pancakes with chocochips, as a 'sorry for being so cruel' gift lol!

That looks like a great recipe!  I am a fan of chocolate chip pancakes, but I think they're even better if you add little yogurt drops in with the chips.  It kind of cuts some of the sweetness, and adds a different flavor.

We used to buy these little organic yogurt drops (primarily for our sugar gliders, but we'd eat them too) at a little shop.  If you ever come across some, definitely try them in your chocolate chip pancakes

I love chocolate chip pancakes! I spread peanut butter on mine just before the syrup! It's so unbelievably good how the peanut butter gets melty!

My mom used to make me Minnie Mouse pancakes. And one year on my birthday she spelled out my name in pancakes!

My husband makes chocolate chip pancakes every Sunday for the kids. It is dessert for breakfast. I'm glad they have a tradition, but sorry I am usually working out at the gym on a nonfat yogurt and banana. I would love to eat them every Sunday, just as I ate them on special occasions when I was a kid. I wish I could still eat them.

These look absolutely Delicious!!!  Reading the recipe I notice that that is the same recipe I use (halved) and I love it.  Using the chocolate chips is a great idea.  I'll do that the next time I make pancakes and don't have maple syrup.  Thanks!!!

These look so good. When I was trying to get my kids to like pancakes, I would throw a handful of chocolate chips into some store bought pancake batter. I think we are going to have to try these Saturday morning! Thanks for the recipe.
