We got a pink Christmas tree this year to add to our collection....and as we were putting it up thinking about what our theme for ir should be, the kids decided on FLAMINGOS (here in sunny FL it seems pretty appropiate).....then it hit me that it may be a bit hard...how and where were we going to get flamingo decorations....WELL, to make a long story short.....polymer clay seemed like a good idea....the problem was that I hadnt really worked with it before, just little things here and there. I asked kishcrafts for some pointers.....and well this is what I came up with.....

and here is the group of them.....

I used a straight pin in the center of the legs to give them a bit more stability.  I really like the one with the Santa hat, but didnt think of it till the last one... I do need to make more for the tree and will make sure some of them have hats....

Any helpful hints for the next time would be great..... and thanks kish for all of your help.

So freakin' cute! I love flamingoes. Sometimes I will do the flamingo strut down the street and people will look at me funny. And my friend just gets embarassed.  Embarrassed

I started collecting flamingos in college and these are fantastic! They made my night.  I too, love the Santa hat.  I've been known to stick one on my yard flamingo.

These are super cute.  I love them.  I am straight up from you in Maine and I think the dichotomy between outside and the flamingos would work well too....Who would have thought of flamingos?  I love it.
