Hmmm... that might be a good challenge for next year: how crafty can you be for a challenge mid-holiday season?  We could call it "Glutton for Punishment" challenge!  Wink

I thought of another one, kinda along the lines of the single item, but more like an unusual or off the beaten path thing. Not just throwing weird crap in, but supplies that are a little more rare. Like the recently mentioned egg yolk or breast milk soap.  I'm thinking a cream with menthal crystals, incense with frankincense tears.....

Everybody would pick whatever item strikes their fancy, rather than everyone doing the same item. Maybe we could brainstorm a list of qualifications for "weirdness."

I make soap a LOT with egg yolks. It makes such a dreamy bar!

I would think anything that isn't considered a standard ingredient (read: you cannot buy it at a soap supply store), would be weird.

There could be a grocery store challenge, too. Like get everything (minus the lye) at the grocery store. Jell-O anyone?  Wink

OK guys, I will be posting a poll within the next week. Last chance to add any new suggestions you might have thought up before voting!

Oh, and I'll try to get pics of the Prize up soon!  I think people on this board will like it!   Grin

I'm stoked! Hurry up, Maremare! You have dozens of soap making Craftsters foaming (ha! I'm here all night, folks...) at the mouth!  Grin

In all seriousness, I know this is going to be great amounts of fun.  Smiley

LOL just waiting for more theme suggestions! Also have a fear that nobody will vote or enter lol.

Ok, I was thinking of this for a prize, will get a better pic later, I just stole this one from a sweat shoppe swap I did a while back. This is really fun packaging, is a small flat container with five sections. You can never have enough fun packaging, right??  Could be used for lip balm or solid perfume or other things I'm sure. Let me know if it isn't a good prize, I was thinking maybe 15 or 20 of them? (uh, lip balm not included). The one pictured was a "lip kit" that had a lip scrub, mega lip balm, lip plumper, and I think 2 kinds of lip gloss. So you can do all kinds of stuff with it.

Well, worst case scenario you have 5 or 6 die-hard soapers throwing dirt, pulling hair and scratching eyes for a chance at the prize!   Grin

I forgot to say I think that is a pretty neat prize. At first I thought it was merely "neat," but then I started brain storming and there are dozens of things you could do with that. And, as you said, you can never have enough neat packaging! Smiley
