Thanks for the diagram.  I'll have to give them a try, if I can bear to tackle interfacing again.  We haven't gotten on well in the past.

In other news, I finally finished the scarf my Mother requested 6 months ago.  5ft. 7in. (plus fringe) of linen stitch in a random acrylic relic from my grandmother's stash.  Thank goodness that's over.

Yay for finishing scarves!  

Now that graduate school has loosened me from its stranglehold I've kicked into crafting gear.  Here's what I've been working on the past 2 weeks.







There were at least 8 more bookmarks, but I gave most of them to my fiancee.  I took the photos on the cards myself over the past few years and printed them out on plain white card stock.  The flowers on the cards are felted and have safety pins on the back.  I know the blue and white one is a little bit special.    The only thing I purchased for these paper projects was a $2 roll of packing tape to "laminate" the bookmarks.  Next on the agenda: more cards (I'm addicted) and an amigurumi army.  I have already started a tiny turtle.  Props to gaudiknight for giving me a book of cute, easy little patterns!  I hope to be posting to this thread much more often this summer.

P.S. Balancing your dinky little paper cutter on top of your crochet pattern book, which is half on your mousepad and half on a ruler, is not the best way to cut in a straight line.  I'm just saying.  You know, in case anyone wanted to try that.  I tried it for you.

Two things!

First, a little more destashing:


It's a cover for my Nintendo DS made from yarn bought a month ago for another project. Other project is done, so is this one and I still have 3/4 of a ball of bright yellow yarn.

I'm proud of myself that I actually made my entire package for knickertwist in the Invite Your Partner round 12 swap from my stash! Though. . . part of the reason I invited her may have been because I could make her things so easily! A second reason was that we live in the same city. (Oh, and the third reason was that she's such a fab craftster! But that pretty much goes without saying).

That is 14 greeting cards, 4 bracelets, and a necklace.  Everything is from my stash.  In true Craftster spirit, I think tacky glue is on every item except for the necklace.  The plastic cord I used for the bracelets is from this kit I got one Christmas and it wouldn't stay knotted tightly, so I put glue on the knots and hoped for the best.  I love tacky glue.  And buttons.
