So... after 2 days being snowed in you'd think I'd have at least made a dent in the stash... not so much.
I have done a lot of cleaning and reorganizing (aka locating) of my craft stuff (stash included) so that's the 1st step I figure.  Unfortunately I didn't find the 2 things I was looking for to make some extras for my swaps Sad

Here's updates on my list
1. put away rest of paper craft supplies from gift making   DONE
2. finish "prayer kudsamas" for 2 grandmas 1 done 1 has petals scattered in about 3 places
3. make a dog toy from stash yarn (poor girl didn't get a Christmas pressie! done... made her 2 'blobs'  while attempting to learn to freeform crochet
4. start mini scrapbook for BFF's Ma (her b.day gift from JUNE!) a little over half done
5. clean up and organize kid's room/desk for 'their' stash (loving collected by momma) started and messed up about 6 times already... ongoing battle
6. make at least 1 crochet dish cloth from stash yarn  DONE  made 3 actually!!
7.  hang yardstick/ruler shelves for 7 yo's LPS collection (using ribbon I just bought) have to buy yardsticks and rulers and clean the room first still not done
8. join destash swap, and fill a box swap! DONE
9. make a board for G'ma's nursing home wall with cardboard and stash fabric and ribbon before the 10th done, but not from stash, didn't have any pretty fabric and it HAD to be beautiful for her, but I did use stash ribbon and buttons
10. start freeform crochet scrumbles with random stash yarn done (and given to dog!)

I didn't really do much related to the themes though, except for the scarf for my best friend was 'winter' and had 'wite' snowflakes on it. If I had any sock yarn I'd love to make myself a pair of crochet socks/slippers... oh well, maybe I'll make some slippers from some soft yarn anyway.

I guess it's time to start thinking about Feb. list!

Your heading in the right direction.  I have the same problem.  I did a heap of destashing last year. And it doesn't even look like I put a dent in it.   That's the problem when your stash is large.

Of course I have a fabric stash, a bead stash, a paper stash, a yarn stash, ...   I could go on.  Lets just say that I have a lot of stuff for a lot of different crafts.

See, I'm really jealous of you all. I WISH I had an enormous stash like that. I'm working on it...

Wow you have been busy. I love all those fabrics and the girraffe one is my favourite.
I like the grocery bag holder. is it just a tube with elastic in the bottom and drawstring at the top?

Elastic on both top and bottom. I made the bottom loop a little smaller than the top.

http://www.planetshoup.com/easy/sew/baghold.shtml - obviously I used fabric - but I got the plan from here.

As for the giraffe pouches... I actually sold them on etsy.

The giraffe fabric is so cute!  I thought it was stripes at first glance.

Anyway, what with it being the end of January and all, I thought I should recap what little progress I've made.
My original list was as follows:
1) get some cleaning/organizing done in my supposed craft space done!
2) clear out my mending basket determined the jeans I had in there to be beyond salvaging... Undecided
3) finish up a quilted pillow I started such a long time ago no progress.  In fact, it is currently AWOL
4) get a handle on my overflowing bookboard scrap stash four books worth out
5) finish the entrelac scarf for my mother done
No picture of the scarf yet.  Mom's already wearing it, despite the fact that I haven't blocked it, or woven in the ends yet.
And a few random projects for the last week:
3 or so knit dishcloths

and about 50 CD cases.  I like to choose my own colors, so I make my own rather than buying them

Stash status stands at +1 for scrapbook paper (I was weak), -5 for balls of yarn, -49 sheets of cardstock, and no appreciable difference in my fabric hoard.

This has been a lot of fun!  Now on into February...

Here's the recap of my January list...

A couple of swap things (this turned out to be 2 swaps)
2 DS Cases (1 done 1 to go)
Crochet needle book (also for Jan bday)
A new purse/bag (for me)

Extra goodies:
Needle roll
Little pouch to hang on belt loop
4 leather pot holders

Thanks, this has been a great motivator.
