Two scarves from my recent ruffles obsession!
This one is my favorite.  The heart lace pattern is from Knitty's Heart, and I just added ruffles along the side.

This one is made with Lion Brand Ruffles yarn. It's prettier in person, lol.

Thanks guys Smiley I too love the purple one... the yarn I used is Malabrigo worsted, I don't know if any of you have used it but it is SO soft and gorgeous!

They are both excellent! I've never made anything ruffled... do you know of a good (free) online source for learning how to ruffle all my boring projects?

Thanks everyone Smiley  Well ruffling is really easy!  The way I do it is pick up and knit the stitches on the edge, wherever you want your ruffles, then purl on the wrong side.  Then on the RS just do (K1, inc1) the whole way through.  Purl the wrong side.  Do the same (K1, inc1) on the right side one more time, and then you can either purl the wrong side again and bind off or just bind off on the wrong side.  I did the latter because I was running out of yarn.  Hope that makes sense!

The heart pattern is precious. What a good scarf for a chilly Valentine's day!
