McJulie-o : hmm that is a good point, a different glue might work better. When you make your fridge magnets do you use regular paper or do you usually use photopaper? I feel like the reason the pics smeared was because I used too much glue to make sure I didn't get many bubbles and then it took forever to dry.
I use regular paper (most of the time I use cardstock because I don't want the dark magnet to show through) and the E6000 is clear even when it's wet, but it's not water soluble so it doesn't dissolve water based ink....I like to let it dry overnight, though...be sure that you have good ventilation.

I will admit, the first one is a little messy, but it's still cute! (Besides, it's the thought that counts, and it was your first try!) The second one though...I love it! It's so elegant and just all around gorgeous!
