I got an awsome fabric and other goody filled package today from CJKJ!!
She claimed me for Asian Fabric and boy did she send me some beautiful pieces!
She also sent along some wonderful vintage buttons wrapped in one of the prettiest hankies I have ever seen!!! Did you do the lace on it yourself?


Close up of the hanky and buttons! The glass ones are my favorites! I think they are destined to become part of a necklace or something extra special!

The buttons are from my grandmas button bowl.  I was hoping you'd like them   The hankie is from another craftster - she's from Germany.  I thought it may fit your personality.  I'm glad you like it all!

wow! that got there so fast I can't believe it! You must get your mail in the mornings - mine comes late afternoon, evenings.

I am glad you like - I was afraid the one would be too large a print for your uses but it matches two of the others pretty well, so figured you could mix it up a bit on things...

lol!  That is another nice thing about living in the country here... our mail is always here by 9:30 a.m. The people in town have to wait till afternoon since they deliver in the country first.

Everyone has gotten great goodies so far - I especially love the painting and pillowcases.

mimiw sent some awesome puppy love to me, and it came on a perfect day. I had some minor surgery on my elbow to remove a cyst and I'm feeling a little under-the-weather. So it was especially nice to get a package today, especially one that suits me so well.

Mimi claimed me for a blanket for my beagle, Snort, and sent the cutest fleece doggy blanket you'll ever see. Snort's extremely pleased with it... well, let me just post some photos and you can see for yourself.

This is her "I'm so happy I'm going to pass out" look.


And here is Snort showing off the side that has her name embroidered on it.


Snort is currently laying on the couch with me, completely cuddled up under her new blanket.

And, as a surprise addition to the package, Mimi included a t-shirt that I've had on my wist forever! I am so, so happy to have this tee and will wear this proudly. My Public Service Announcement for the day - Choose a rescued dog! (I would take an action shot, but my arm is sore and I don't feel like changing shirts.)



Thank you so, so much, Mimi! Snort is now snoring under her blanket - I think she's just as happy as I am... if not more so.

I received my perfect Waldorf doll kit from poerava this morning.  (I must say that the last week has been hell and this little bit of joy really cheered me up).



Within the bag, there is roving for stuffing the doll and dark roving at the top of the pic for the hair, fabric for the body and clothes as well as all the thread i will need and even a chopstick for poking stuffing into the small parts!



I love it, thank you so much, poerava, this will make my girls happy (and me as well!)

I got some great kitschy kitchen towels for our pirate-50s diner kitchen. Im Sew Silly, drew the images herself! I really love the skull and utensils! Sorry these are not photos from our kitchen, I baked a lot the last few days and the kitchen looks horrible!

yay! i am so happy you are pleased with them
they are the first pirate...well,..anything i have ever done/embroidered. 
i am a newbie at the color tinting too, but i did iron it so i hope it set nice and permanant!
