CraftyCarrie, do you crochet? This is the one I got the idea from:

But the way it was put together wasn't all that intuitive to me, so I did it quite differently than she suggests. I also used a crochet thread (instead of yarn) so it would look a little more delicate. If you want any other details, feel free to PM me and I'll type up what I did

I was thinking the same thing, only I didn't know what to call it, and now I do    this swap has caused many a craftgasism and much coveting!

Thanks everyone for their comments about the Cheshire Cat. I was looking for a picture to convert to cross stitch but most were so involved it would have taken me a year. When I found that picture I fell in love with it, and it converted so well! It took a little tweaking to make sure the words came out right. I did the eyes and teeth in glow-in-the-dark thread so at night he's a true Cheshire Cat, just the eyes and teeth show. It does say "Alice in Wonderland". I had to do a double take to see the "in" in the eyes myself.

I'm so glad you like those notecards, Whitney. I just pulled the images off Google. It was the easiest of the things I made. I'm sure you'll do an awesome job framing them if you choose to do that. You're a remarkable crafter.

I also apologize for not posting pics sooner. I was waiting for you to get home. I'll post later tonight so people can see all the wonderful things I got. I asked for the White Rabbit in his heraldic costume. Wait until you all see what she did for me. *is thrilled!*
