The body and beefy arm is filled with with Stem Stitch. The wingalings are Satin Stitch. The fire is encroached satin stitch. If you're not familiar with those stitches, I'd suggest picking up a book at the library, or thumbing through one at a book store. Any stitch dictionary will have them, they're very common stitches.

I reccomend Mary Thomas's Dictionary of Embroidery Stitches:
