I've done a few basic sewing projects before but I count this as my first!!  Simplicity 5827  My first pattern, first sleeves, zipper, fitted garment, so on so forth.  The neck is really wonky as i didn't understand the directions at all, but I winged it and it at least resembles a neckline... from a distance anywho.  I am also in the process of making a matching one for her American Girl doll (knock off) which both are her Christmas present so I can't show that picture! Ok sorry for TMI here is the dress:

Thanks everyone!!  Grin  I am (still) quite pleased I must say. How invigorating to make a garment by your own hands!   It is especially rewarding when I had people coming up to me and telling me how much they loved the dress and where did I buy it?!
