I made the blanket from this pattern from Michael's.

And the hat came from this pattern.

The blanket took forever, but it's very pretty and soft. The hat was quick and easy! Cheesy

How sweeeeeeet, the blankie looks nice and cuddly for a baby and the colourways of the yarn make it good for either gender!  What a great job for your first effort, well done!

ironic...my friend is using the same yarn and almost the same pattern for a baby hat and blanket...that's crazy!  good job!

The funny thing is, I had only worked with acrylic stuff up to that point, and now that I'm working with the regular stuff it feels wierd to me. I'm still not sure if I can justify making the Big Bad Baby Blanket in wool though. Maybe a superwash wool?
