Just plain old acrylic simply soft, but I won't hold it against them.  Still yummy.

would you share your pattern? I would LOVE to make myself one, but im a begginer knitter/crochet and i tend to knit/crochet REALLY tight Sad...

I, too, would like a pattern - most of the arm warmers I see have cables and fancy things that I am incapable of doing yet.
