This is my first post.  I hope I'm in the right place and my pics show up!

I made these placemats for a Winter Solstice gift for my parents.  I'm VERY new to sewing so please be kind.   Grin

This is the tutorial I used

These are really lovely. You have a great sense of colour.  I have been contemplating making something similar for Xmas presents. Wow, you have inspired me.   Grin Thanks a million for posting these.

I really like these, especially the bright colors! I think most people would be too busy admiring the layout of the colorful section to notice any irregularities in the sewing on the rest of it.  Smiley
