So my best friend lives in a dorm that has a common living room that has ugly, blank white walls. Last year they were covered in a collection of classic posters that belonged to a roommate, and this semester they were decorated with an insane amount of Gator posters and tickets from games that belonged to another roommate. Both of these girls have moved out, so once again the walls are very sad.

So last night we went to Wal-Mart and bought four 50 cent posters and 6 $1 craft paints and started making our own affordable posters. My friend loves Monet's paintings, so I found a couple and made my own versions for her. (she bought the posters, but I'm the "artsy" one that has to actually do the painting)

So here are my first ever attempts at impressionistic paintings, using only a few colors, and covering an entire standard poster board. In less than two hours.

(These are based on actual works of Monet, not my own original creations. I just painted them)
