Promise that when you frame it, you'll put something on the back of the frame that says your name and the date and some kind of message to young Adalyn.  It will mean a lot to her when she's older to know that her aunt loved her enough to do that for her.

I'm definitely going to! I wanted to get this entered in the Handmade Holiday Gifts for Kids challenge so I framed it last night and took pics to post since the deadline is today. In real life it's not in the frame and I'm still going to add my embroidered signature to the bottom right side. I am also going to include a note and put it in the back of the frame.

Lily! I can't tell you how many times I've contemplated making one of these up!  My sister and I have matching ones that my mom made with "liquid embroidery" read paint markers and whenever someone close to me has a baby I think about making one.  I love mine still

Your color choices are perfect and bravo for trying so many different stitches!  It will definitely be treasured.  Is this the first time you are an aunt?  If so you have now set a precedent

Thank you! It is the first time I'm an aunt. I was kidding around with my BIL on Adalyn's birthday saying they'll probably end up with 6 kids (they didn't really want kids but they're now happy with just the one) and he said I'll get a punch in the nose for each of those 5 unborn children. Since I'm an only child I think I'm off the hook.
