I finally got one of those infamous AOL tins! I decorated the front of it and then wondered what to do with it. So, I hammered the back part into my wall and then slid on the cover. So basically, it makes a little "secret hiding place" where I can put small slips of paper (maybe combinations to my locks or something), small amounts of money (vacation fund), etc. Here it is with a Listerine Pocket Pack and a Girl Scout patch. They were on my dresser...


And here it is amoung my other wall things. It looks like an innocent piece of art. Ha!


This could be done with bigger tins, too!

I guess so. I mean, I ordered a lot for myself. lol. I was never a 300+ seller or anything... I think I maybe got 30.

i love your idea. especially how you hung it on the  wall. i usually don't look in this part of craftster. I must start looking. Now i really need one of those tins. good job!

i always knew there was SOMETHING useful those could be turned into
you have discovered it!
i've used one as a sewing kit to keep in my backpack, but the hide-away is much better
