So I never managed to buy a calendar for 2008 and really missed it this year, missing all sorts of meetings and generally never really catching up on things. So I knew Id have one hanging in my kitchen this year no matter what.
I bought 2 yesterday (including a beautiful one for Rebecca Dautremer, just because its beautiful!). But I also looked around (ahem, meaning on Etsy) for a pretty fiber-oriented calendar but didnt find any. And tought why not make my own ?

Heres what I got to show for  yesterday nights work. What do you think ?
I kind of really like it, although I may change the background color. Its still a work-in-progress.. ;-)

Also, I now need to work on all the other months... :-)

Oh man!  What a great idea.  If they sold those in stores I would receive about 6 for Christmas.  I'm not shy or quiet about my lust for fibers...

Oh thanks for the comments and the encouragement... I was starting to think nobody liked it..! :-P

Will try to work on the remaining 5 now to get a full calendar available.. :-)

I live in a small town, and EVERY buisness gives a calender away at christmas.  So that leaves us with about 6 calenders.   All of them VERY boring.  I dig this idea, and wish I (1) knew how to make a calender and (2)  Had 12 skeins of my own yarn to take pretty pictures of!
