HAHA! I love that you used Narwhal for the N! They are so under appreciated in the whale world! Great job! Your embroidery skills amaze me (mine are not so good!)  Grin

That book is beautiful! I can tell a lot of love, time and effort went into it. You did a great job!

Wow, I love it, so cute and lovely bright colours. And for an embroidery newbie it's amazing! I especially like:

the whale's waterspout
the buttons on the ladybird (and the whole ladybird)
the fact you used 'narwhal' for 'n'!
the iguana's freckles

and her name - 'Wren' Cheesy

I'd make one for my nephew except his name's just Adam. No middle name or anything. I'll get my sister to name her next one a bit more imaginatively so I can borrow your ideas Smiley

Wow, thanks everyone for the compliments! Don't let not having a baby stop you! I had to borrow one to make mine. =)

I would say that it took me about 2 months of actual work, though it would go much faster if I made another one since I now know how to embroider  Roll Eyes Though I normally make things up as I go, I'm really glad I sketched the designs out first. That let me get the planning over with and go into "factory mode" for the assembly.

A)  I wanted to name my daughter Wren but no one else liked it, so we settled on Lily.   Sad

B)  That is BEAUTIFUL!  I've been toying with the idea of making a book for Lily like this, but I'm really new to crafting with felt, and not sure I could do anything nearly so neat!  I'm amazed, that is fantastic!

It's gorgeous! Definitely a keepsake.
