Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

I love it! Wish I had one for my daughter.

Just one question: how are the google eyes attached? If it is just glue I would watch the baby carefully as they would be pretty easy to pull off and put in their mouth.

Oh wow. So many nice comments! Thanks everyone!

This was my first felt project, too, so don't let it intimidate you! Felt is also inexpensive, so it's not like you just ruined 5 yards of silk if you decide to change something. =)

The googly eyes are glued down as well as I could - as is everything else. All the letters and buttons are glued, then stitched, to prevent anything from coming off. I was a little torn, because they could be a choking hazard. The book was given with the caveat that she should be supervised with it at all times until she's 5 or 6 (I think that's the age when smaller things like that are ok).

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.
