After seeing a few examples here on Craftster, I *had* to make a baby name book for my Adorable Baby Niece. It spells out her name - Wren Elise (just her first name was a bit short, so I added the middle, too) and I did all animals for her. I tried to make it textured and interesting for her (she turned one year old on 11-11) with some different materials; the elephant's ear and tail and the eagle wing are also flappy. =)

I hope you enjoy it! I sketched everything out first, but the cover took several tries. I'm happy with the results, though.

Here are some detail shots:

She seems to like it!

The pages are all felt acrylic with ribbon, rick-rack, buttons, and googly eyes. All the pieces are glued down for safety then stitched on, too. I didn't take a photo of the binding. I learned to embroider as I went, so I think it went well, considering!

It's beautiful.
Seems like it should be entered in the current Challenge for kid toys.

What a great book. I was amazed at the actual size of the book. It's beautiful. If that is what you can achieve when you are only learning to embroider we will have to watch out for some masterpieces won't we?
I'm sure it will be loved and appreciated.

It's wonderful!  What a beautiful gift for your niece, she will keep it forever.  Your stitching is perfect, too.

Beautiful.  What a lovely gift. I'm sure that Wren will keep this to share with her children and grandchildren.

Lovely design, color choice, stitching and everything.
