I like bikes, recycling and the shape of gears a lot. So at some point when thinking about what I might make for my friends for christmas I came up with this.   A cog turned into an ornament.  I'm still experimenting they will probably get bows, maybe bells on some etc.  I'm not able to post pics yet so here is the link:

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this post!  My brother is an avid mountain biker and I've been struggling with ideas of something I could craft for him that is relatively inexpensive.  These ornaments are perfect!  I'm off to look for some bike parts to recycle.  I'd love to see any other things you come up with.

FYI: Most bike shops will give you their unusable parts, making it extra cheap to make these.
