Ok, this is my first posting and first challenge. I just happen to be making this for my 8 month old niece for her first Christmas.  I loved play food when I was little and decided to start making her some.  Hopefully I will be able to add more every birthday and Christmas.

This is a small basket filled with: Tomato, eggplant, orange, banana, grapes, celery, ear of corn, cucumber, apple, and a pear!
I hope she can learn colors, types of food, use counting and can use it to practice her dumping and filling for her developmental milestones!
I used these patterns http://www.coatsandclark.com/Crafts/Crochet/Projects/HomeDec/WR1070+Crocheted+Fruits+and+Vegetables+Basket.htm
and also made up some others on my own.
I am very proud of myself because I just learned how to crochet!

Hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays!

Great job! I wanted to do something similar for my 3 year old this year, but ran out of time. Next year, though, for sure! Your veggies are so colorful and well done!

These are so cute.  I love the silk on the corn.

I need a house with a craft room!
