Hi. This might belong in reconstructed....
I made a spoon ring. Remember those? I had a really neat looking spoon, so I cut the handle off and bend it into a ring shape.

It fits my thumb.
C & C always welcome!

I really love the look of this! How did you cut the handle off?

And what did you use to bend it?  We want ALL your secrets, that's a beautiful ring/spoon!

well.....it was really hard!  Wink I cut the handle off using an aviation snips (otherwise known as a tin snips.) I had to press really hard to get it to cut and then the other end went flying!  Grin I bent it using the highly scientific method of two pliers. I held the handle in a bigger needle nosed and then bent with another smaller needle nosed in the other hand. It was kind hard! I originally wanted to put the cut end under the other end more, but couldn't get it to bend that far! I might ask Hubby to help. Also, the bending method is not perfected! I tried the same thing with a smaller more delicate and incidently prettier looking spoon, but cracked it. I might have to use that one for something else. I'm also going to look for something metal that I might use to bend new ones around. I think that would be easier, but who knows!

I like the way it doesn't overlap. I had a spoon ring years ago. But my fingers are short, so the ring covered the entire first joint of my finger and was rather uncomfortable. So... we short appendaged folks appreciate you design! Lovely job.

WOW! Does the spoon have to be silver?

I don't think so, but my guess is it might be harder to bend it if it's not. Silver tends to be more malleable and bend easier that steel or other metals. If it's not silver, heating it a bit with a blow torch or something like it might make bending easier.
