I enjoy making a few more of these every year. They are of size 10 crochet cotton, on a size 7 steel hook. My grandma made them, and my mom gave me a couple from her, so that's how I got started... They are a perfect quick crochet fix. This is a free pattern I found online, though I had to make one correction:

A couple of things I did differently:

Rnd 2: SLST IN TOP OF CH 3, slst into the next dc, etc...

Rnd 4, in line 2: Ch3. Sk next dc. *Sc in next dc. CH 3. Sc in next ch3 sp. Dc, ch3, etc...
