This is a great pattern.  I made a pair, it only took two nights and everyone at work wants a pair.

I blogged them here: http://thea-trical.blogspot.com/2009/01/so-little-time.html

I actually started knitting these yesterday and they're really, really nice!

Also cast on at 9 p.m., and finished the thumb up at around 1:00 a.m. (I'm a night owl) on the first one, so they're relatively quick mitts to knit too!

Don't know much about Twilight, but these mittens are so beautiful! I have too many other projects in progress at them moment, but the mittens are haunting me, I hope I can make them soon! Thanks a thousand times for sharing!

Amazing!!

I'm going to (badly) try and knit these mittens! I may just have to end up paying someone to do this for me. Haha!

Ohhhh I'm so glad I picked up knitting again!
Does anyone have a guess as to what the skill level with these would be? I've just picked up learning knitting again. I did it for a bit in 2007 and did a couple very basic scarves but didn't do any more.

I would so love to make these - so so happy right now!

Has anyone seen the photo of the originals on the creator's website (Ruth Cross)?  The palm and thumb look like they're a sideways moss stitch that morph into the ribs around the wrists.  I would love to figure out how to do this, but my knitwear designing skills are not up to par.  If anyone figures out how to do this, I'd be eternally grateful!  Of course, the pattern posted here is bea-utiful, but I think the texture of the originals really gives it an extra something (though I think the thumb looks funny textured).

Wow! That looks great!! Thanks so much for writing the pattern and posting it for us! I'm definitely going to make a pair of these! (even though it's barely gone below freezing here). They are so cute!
