Details of swap:  This swap was organized so everyone can get something crafty for their birthday!  Please read the guidelines carefully.

1. This swap is list style, like the Ongoing Wishlist Swap, however it is NOT chain style. You can choose any birthday craftster’s list that is posted, rather than only picking the last one.

2. This is a medium item swap. A medium item is defined as a craft or recon etc that takes you two hours to complete OR $20 worth of Store Bought Items. (If bought from a thrift store, estimate at what it would have cost new.) However you may also substitute a few small items for a medium.

3. If your birthday is in December, you can post your birthday wish list for this month. To do that, you must first PM me with the Swap questionnaire filled out and wait for approval.

4. Once you have been approved, you may post your list of things that you would like to receive. This is the format for your lists: First post your location and a short bio of yourself, then a list of crafted items you would like, then craft supplies (if any) and lastly you can put a few “extras” that aren’t crafted, things like candy or tea. Remember, the more items on your list, the more likely you are to be chosen. The minimum of items to post is 5. Also including your wists is a good way for people to get the idea of your likes and style. If you have any allergies please type them in red in your bio section.

 6. Every birthday participant must make at least one claim. You may have up to two claims at a time, and then you can claim again once your items are received (not when you mail out). New swappers may only have one outstanding claim, they may claim again after their first claim is received.

7. You may get claimed more than once, but your minimum amount to claim is one.  It is possible you may not get claimed at all. In this case you will not be provided a swap angel; angels are only if you get flaked on. However I do my best to make sure everyone gets claimed by keeping track of how many times each person is claimed. If possible try to pick someone who has been claimed 0 times versus someone who has been claimed 3 times.

8. If it is not your birthday but you would like to send a birthday present out you may do so. Birthday swappers who receive a present from a non-birthday swapper must send a snail mail birthday card. You will not receive feedback until I hear from the other swapper that they have received a thank you card.

9. When you choose to fulfill a birthday wish, PM both me (MareMare) AND the chosen Craftster At that time, please request the address for where to send it.  After that you have 2 weeks to get the item out the door.

 10. It is super important for everyone to keep good communication. It is REQUIRED that you PM me when you've sent and of course, don't forget the DC#. It is REQUIRED that when you receive, you PM me and publicly announce in the gallery (even if you don't have pictures). If I do not receive PM’s from you when you send and receive, you will be left “Poor Communication” in your feedback.

Handmade Goodies

-Cloth grocery bags (I make them, but for everyone but myself, I only have a few so I would love some more).  I really like the singlet style ones (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177482.0), preferrrably lined in washable fabrics.

-Crochet Hook Roll/Book/Case/Carrier (that will hold LOTS of hooks in all sizes, I think S is my biggest) (a little pocket for stitch markers and a slot for scissors would be great too)

Before I start, I want to say Happy Birthday everyone! December babies need to be celebrated all the more given that we have to compete with one of the largest holidays of the year.

Anyway, my name is Emma and I'm going to be turning 23 on 29th. Yo.  I'm from Seattle, my birthday is December 26 (meaning everybody forgets it ) and I'm going to be 24.  Because my birthday is the day after Xmas, I'm a big Scrooge.  I live in an apartment with an awesome roommate and am a mommy to the cutest two bunnies and the weirdest cat ever.  I'm obsessed with sealife and birds, I love ugly and obnoxious colors, and I'm always crafting.  I'm mainly a knitter, but I also sew and I have dabbled in a little bit of everything from beading to paper crafts.

CRAFTED ITEMS

+ An organizer for craft supplies I can hang on my wall.  I used to have a craft room, but I lost a lot of space when I moved into the apartment.  Something like these for my needles with some extra pockets for other supplies like x-acto knives, pens, scissors, etc.

+ Cat toys!  My Oliver's favorite toy is this nasty stuffed catnip rat that he killed about a year ago, but he's still playing with it.  It's about the size of an actual rat, and the outside looks like it was knit with eyelash yarn or something like that.  The stuffing is coming out of it and it's very sad.

+ Veggie Glycerine soaps.  I haven't had to buy soap in almost three years thanks to hotels and craftster swaps, but I'm starting to run out.  Oh no!

+ Embellished T-shirts.  My wists has some good ideas.  Basically, I love plants, birds, bugs, fish/sealife, and all that good stuff.  I wear a size small, and like pretty much all colors except white and pastels. Thank you sheepBlue!

+ Pretty art for my walls.  My living room is filled with 70's furniture, but everything else is theme-less.

+ A design notebook that I can glue in inspirations, sketches, swatches

+ Bracelets, necklaces, pendants.  My wists has some ideas of what I like.  Ideal necklace length is no more than 17", bracelet from 6" to 7".  Maybe a chain I could put a medical alert tag on?

CRAFT SUPPLIES

+ Quilting fabrics.  I'm working on a quilt made out of these fabrics (mostly the browns and oranges), but I need some fabrics that are "less busy" and would go well with the theme.  Of course, any other nice fabrics would be welcome!

+ Resin-jewelry kit: molds, hardware for installing loops, bits and bobs I could encase, empty squeeze bottles, the epoxy itself.

+ Random sewing essentials: buttons, zippers, interfacing, spools of thread, bias tape, velcro, hook and eye tape--you get the idea.  I'm good on pins and needles, so none of those.

I'm in northern Virginia, and my birthday is also the day after christmas (hi fishie!) although when I was growing up we always did birthday presents for my half birthday on June 26 instead.  I'm about to be 30 (hi CJKJ!)  and I'm a part-time archaeologist, trying to be a more than part-time crafter, and getting married at the end of April.  Also, I'm terrible about writing bios for myself.

Hello Christmas babies! I live in Michigan and have a DH and 2 grown (and wonderful) children. I am addicted to knitting (tee hee), and I am turning the big 5 - 0 this year.  I'm incredibly ambivalent about it; happy to be alive as it were, but concerned that I have lived more than half my life already and have so much left to do!  My birthday is December 24 and my parents were always really great about the celebration.  We always had a special meal and lots of family to hang out with.  I got presents wrapped in birthday paper, too.

Since I'm getting old, I don't really need anything, but I do enjoy a few things, so here goes:

Crafted wishes

Silly or fun pendants, brooches or badges.  There are examples of things I like on my wist.

A rendering of my jack russell terrier in your favorite medium (pencil, watercolor, embroidery, collage, applique, etc!).  I have received a drawing and an applique -- I will treasure these forever and since I adore my little doggie (Haily) I could have a thousand different "portraits" of her and not be tired of them!

Handmade pottery, especially mugs or bowls.

Holiday placemats - would love 7 of these, but they don't have to match - so this could be claimed by lots of people!

Drawings (or watercolors, or embroidery, etc.) of trees in winter.
