I found this pattern from Indygo Junction a while back:

I really liked the dark brown one and decided to give it a try, even though I'm not very experienced with clothing (I mostly quilt). But, I got a serger a while back and I got brave, especially after going to the fabric store and finding that they had the same fabric as the one on the pattern that I had liked in the first place! After much trial and error, here is the final result:
(it's much shinier in the picture than in real life because of the flash reflecting on some subtle metallic thread that's weaved into it)
me looking pale...it is winter after all!

a closer view of the front:

and the back:

I'm very happy with how it turned out and have gotten several compliments on it from my fellow teachers at work.
Thanks for checking it out!  Smiley

Oh, it looks beautiful, and warm, too!  I love the fabric, the buttons, and the belt.
Kudos!

Holy crap (can I say that here?) that's AMAZING!  I may be slightly more stunned than other posters here as I have never made my own clothes full stop, but even so, wow.  Good job!  Love the fabric, too.
