Cute pinafore dress I love thee! New Look 6826.

[Every Little Thing]

Here is my first 'sensible' item of clothing that I may be able to wear to work...  It's made with black corduroy and goes fab over thick tights and with boots.  I used New Look 6826, it was a pretty easy pattern but I had to take it in quite a lot as it was HUGE on the top - maybe I would have worked for someone blessed with a more generous chest than I!  I'm not entirely convinced about the pleats at the front as from some angles they make you look a bit pregnant - I may remove them if I use the pattern again.  I also shortened it a little as i've been going to the gym and am finally getting a little happier with my previously tree trunk thighs hehe

the back...  think it needs a hook thingy for the little gap at the top but I don't know if I can be bothered!



and teamed with a little felt brooch I made to look like an apple tree - its too far away to see though!



I have to also mention the necklace which is one of my favourite things.  My hubby bought it for my birthday last year - its a genuine art deco piece from the 1920s and I just adore it!  What a fab hubby I have!

It's too cute!  I have some gray and navy plaid fabric that I have been wanting to make one of these out of.  Now I know what pattern to get!

LOVE THIS! Thanks for the pattern number. I've seen these in stores lately but was too chicken to just wing it...wow, that's a lot of poultry references, and I just looked up and there's a Bernina ad with wings in it. I'm scared!

It turned out very cute.  I don't know if I would bother with at hook and eye on the back either, as it would be impossible for you hook and unhook it yourself and it looks fine like it is.
