This sweater is made of various cotton yarns, the biggest stash-busting project I've made so far. Its from a pattern called Poppy in "Yarnplay", which is an excellent book!!!  All I need to do is to figure out what color to to the neckline edging, and if I should do more than one row of hemline single-crochet edging, and in what color (I did black).  Also,if anyone has ideas or suggestions, let me know.... I was thinking I should try to incorporate some navy blue or black into the body or the sweater somehow (duplicate or slip stitch over?) but I dunno if that's necessary or not.  What do you'all think??

I really like your sweater.  It would look nice with another row of the crochet on the bottom, and you could do the same for the neckline.  You have inspired me to actually want to make this instead of just eyeing the pattern every now and then.

This is beautiful!!  I think that doing the neck edging in dark blue will be enough and you don't have to add any to the body.  I kind of like the contrast, personally.  Also, I agree that adding one more row of hem edging is a good idea.  It will kind of tie the whole thing together.

Great job!  And what an excellent way to use up scraps!!

Yes, this is an awesome pattern. i love doing a sweater like this cuz you really don't have to do any waist-shaping- the sideways knitting and gravity of the yarn does it for you!  I think it would be a cool way to make sweater-dress or baby-doll sort of dress.  Thanks for the tips  Smiley

This is a great sweater!  I love the use of row direction to create interest.  Your stash had lots of nicely matched cotton because your colors are GREAT!  Nice work!

Cheesy Thanks!  I didn't take pics of the back, but the back has more of the purple/mauve color, lavender and grey.  I kinda wanted it to be different on the front and back, just 'cause, yet still match and blend somewhat. Its pretty fun to do it this way actually.  You certainly don't get bored!! And I just weave ends in as I go as much as possible (otherwise this would be a UFO forever).

This is kinda cool, and it is an inventive approach to stashbusting too.
