I love the Lorax to death... Seriously, one of my favorite books in the world... There was this guy I had been dating, and I kind of wasn't that into him... and when I found out he had never heard of the lorax... I told him it wouldn't work out...

So anyway, my love for converse and my love for the lorax sort of fused together... and I painted some old junky converse with scenes of the Lorax... before and after sort of...

I wound up putting these on my etsy (as a custom thing) because people seem to like them... So I thought I'd throw them on here... to see what you guys think...

They look more detailed in person... Like you can see the words "Unless" on the tree stump... on the "after" shoes...

This is my first time posting anything I've done on crafster.. yeah.... oh and sorry about the linkage, but I don't have 10 posts, so it won't allow me to do anything else....

I think they are fantastic!!  I love the Lorax!  Is there some protective coating on the shoes so they can get wet or something?  I'd be worried about wearing them!

Very thin layers of acrylic spray...

I also picked low-tops, because the sides don't bend a lot, so they shouldn't crack...

very nice, If you really love the paint job however, I wouldnt wear them much. Last time I painted some shoes and wore them, the paint cracked (even though it was fabric paint) around the areas where the shoe bent.

That's why I picked the lo-tops and only painted the sides... because they don't bend...

this makes me smile... and they are still in great shape - only a tiny bit of cracking finally starting to happen
