I made this for my Mom's Christmas present.  She didn't have an easy time of it this year.  She was given a hard time by friends with different ideals when she worked for the campaign and she had a few Obama signs stolen from her yard before the election.  The last sign was stolen even though she had covered it with honey and Udder Butter in an attempt to deter the theif.  Seriously.  Grin

Thanks to Julie Jackson for making this pattern and making it available at www.subversivecrossstitch.com.

Beautiful! Hopefully this will cheer your mom up. Our signs were spray-painted black, along with all the Obama signs on the block, and it was depressing.

How big is the cross-stitch? It really represents that iconic image well Shocked)

Ugh! Sorry about your signs - that IS depressing. Tongue It's so nice that it's all over now.  Cheesy

The completed stitch is a little less than 3 inches wide and a little over 4 inches tall.  I did it on 18 count fabric - according to the pattern the completed stitch is 3.57 inches by 5.36 inches if you use 14 count fabric.  And I agree, Julie Jackson really did a great job with the pattern. Seeing this gives me those butterflies and excitement I had when he was declared the President, a President of hope.  On a craft related comment Roll Eyes, you did a beautiful job and I'm sure your mom will feel the same way as me when she sees it.

ETA: Oh yeah, I'm totally wisting this. Cheesy

That's a lot of little stitches.

For future reference there is some seriously sticky stuff that is used on apple sized balls to catch certain bugs. Paint that on. It's hard to get off. "Dude why you carrying that poster? Thought you didn't like him..." " It's stuck on..." LOL
