....and i'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
i used simplicity 3684 and was confused with how to attach the collar and sleeves, but it all turned out well in the end.

Your first and you choose plaid?!!   Shocked  Were you just born with the ability to match so well?!  I stay far away from plaid, far away....  You did a wonderful job, it looks better than store bought.  My gosh, matching plaid, buttonholes, yokes and plackets all in your first shirt.  You deserve to feel very pleased, this is an impressive first!!

that is AMAZING! been sewing for three or so years and i don't think i could manage such a clean cut shirt!! (i'm REALLY bad with those kinds of shirts..)

i agree with cocorific in terms of staying away from plaids. but wow you ROCKED this plaid! i love the bias placing of the plaid on the 'bib' go you!!  Wink
