I haven't made these yet [http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/cooking-live/cranberry-cupcakes-with-maple-cream-cheese-frosting-recipe/index.html] but the complaints on the reviews say that they're dry. How can I make them more moist? More butter? Oil instead of milk? I have no idea. I'm a novice from scratch maker, but I'm pretty beast at sprucing up box mixes. so this is not my area of expertise. Help?

it sounds like there are hardly any wet ingredients. i don't know how you could alter this recipe without ruining it but i can suggest a delicious cranberry cupcake recipe to you (with or without almonds) and you can still just make the maple frosting from the food network site. check out the second post on this blog: http://iheartcuppycakes.wordpress.com/
good luck!

One thing that you can do to moisten them,  is make a simple syrup to pour on the cupcakes after they've been baked. Simple syrup has saved a few of my cakes from being disasters!

Simple syrup- put equal parts water and sugar in a pot and heat until the sugar is dissolved. Voila! You can also put flavoring in the water, like vanilla or rum ect.

Hope this helps!
