I LOVE the japanese Koi Fish- my living room is gold, black & red and could use some more influencing! Anyone interested in crafting in japanese styles/colors?

ideas: decoupage, sketches, paintings, polymer clay

Geishas, Koi Fish, Cherry Blossoms, Samurai

What do you think?

Blessings,
Tina

I sew, paint unfinished wood, sketch, make jewelry, crochet a bit, loom knit, and sew. Pretty much if I can get my hands on it to learn, then I will know it. Maybe not perfectly, but enough for a hobby.

Oh sure, just torture me.  We'll see what is going on when this swap gets underway, but with all the upcoming swap ideas, I would be looking at February. Wink  Hopefully not, but I'm definitely booked until mid December.  Oh yeah, I definitely LOVE the idea.

Sorry, didn't mean to torture Cheesy
I'm so glad you love the idea. I don't think i could organize because i am a newbie swapper- i don't know how many swaps you need in order to be able to organize. So the timeframe is open. Smiley

You need to have participated in two swaps with positive feedback to organize.  My organizing feet are wet now.  Again, we'll have to wait for some of my other swaps to wind down and get my Christmas knitting/crochet done. Also, see who else is interested and what their time frames are.

I do hope that we can do this though.

Riechan, you joined Craftster on my 40th birthday.  Sorry, I just happened to notice. Smiley

I suppose sign ups from mid January to the end of January with partners assigned last day of January or first day February.

Still would like to see more people, but this just started today and we are looking at almost two months away.

I'd be up for something like this.  And February would probably suit me since I'm only allowed to do one swap at a time and would like to do the stuffie swap first.

Japan has some awesome stuffies and thingos and whatsits.  I always loved the Koi flags they had up for Children's day too (the Koi signifies strength / tenacity and is popular for those with sons).  I am actually having lots of ideas for stuff - inspiring swap theme.  I'd love to be able to do it =)
