I've been meaning to make a donut pincushion for the longest time now, and yesterday I finally sat down and made one. I'm happy with how it turned out, and I intend to make more because the pattern was very easy and quick. I used yarn from my stash, with the donut being Red Heart Super Saver (an assumption based on the texture), and the frosting being I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby (it has a bit of a shine to it!). My mom loved it so I might make her a couple for Christmas. http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32761 <-- Pattern I used

I love it!  And need a new pin cushion myself.  I may have to give it a try.
