Tell me about it. I don't even like regular altoids!
I don't mind paying extra for some dipped in chocolate but $2 is just too much for plain old mints.

But the tin is totally worth it. So perfect for decorating! lol

If I do other rounds of Altoid swaps, I might consider buying them on Ebay. But my problem with that is the shipping... Some of those vendors just gouge you on the shipping costs!

don't they sell blank metal tins the same shape and size at some craft stores?

all we have in my town is a hobby lobby and they don't carry them, but I could swear I had seen little silver tins the same shape and size for craft projects... if I think of where I found them I'll post it.

ok i can say i have officially started today and arrrgg what i tried looks like crap, i  may be able to fix it??? i think i better go buy some back up tins, iam so used to decorating fabric...if u mess up u rip it out, this might be a challenge for me, but iam up for it! i have always seen the tins and thought well that would be cool to keep in your purse and keep stuff in. i cant believe all ideas to remake- recycle stuff on crafster, so glad my friend introduced me to it Shocked, well off to pick the little one up at school, then more crafting when i get home before i have to due my wifely duty and make dinner Grin have a good night all

Well I had a busy night last night and day today.  I got everything done for the inside of the tin that I had planned to do it is filled to the brim and not with coffee either.
I also came up with another idea I am going to try and fit in there.  Don't know if I can gonna try though.  Now I just have to alter the outside. I am thinking and thinking and thinking........ smell the smoke

I made a model altoids tin from the measurments that Bab posted on the first page, and started to fill it with all the goodies I have made so far and it seems quite empty.....  Some things turned out smaller then I thought they would though.. But I will make more!  Plenty of time left! woo!

I'm guessing no.  I'm putting in some non crafted things as well,  but I'm kinda going craft happy.  I haven't had a reason to be crafty in years! I'm loving it!
