I posted this in the curvy craftsters board but I thought some might not look there if they're preggers!

Anyway, I made this pattern using the Sew What Skirts book and made like a fold over and for the top out of knit so it can strech with me as I grow (I'm 31weeks) or I can take it in later and it'll still be comfortable. I used soft cream flannel for the body, black knit for the band at the top and black bias tape for the bottom hem which was sooo much easier than hemming and folding over to hem again! I used some cut out birds from some Alexander Henry fabric I have to spice it up a bit. I have plans to make a few more now that I have the measurements down.

it's super easy. I just used their formula for making a skirt body and made basically a tube top for the top. I put RS skirt to WS tube so when you fold it over it wont' show the seam. I made mine a little too tall but it's got a big ol' belly to go over! Oh and I LOVE the flannel. It's sooo comfy and soft. I bought some charcoal flannel (Btw it's $2.50 a yard at joann's right now) and some navy bias and navy stretch knit to make another and I think I'm going to do a tree applique on the next one with a smaller print.

I agree. I love prego tummies. The skirt is cute too.

It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know that is important.

Very cute.  Are the birds appliqued from a printed material, or did you "construct them" yourself?  They look very cute, but a bit hard to see the detail from the photos.

The birds are from  Alexander Henry's Bird Seed line way back in 06 (my joann's carries old lines of AH and MM sometimes) The cream flanel just happens to be the same color as the background of the birds fabric and I just appliqued them on and zig zagged over the edges.
