Here is a patchwork embroidery collage I made to cheer up a dull table in need of a makeover.  The farmyard fabrics were fat quarters I had sleeping in my stash so I decided to put them to work here embellishing the piece with a little embroidery (oh any excuse)!

I've just purchased one of sublime stitching's terrific looking transfer books so watch out for a completely new kind of embroidered life coming soon.

I love the hen, she's so cute!  Do you have any pictures of the whole piece?

I have loved all of the projects you have posted.  The combination of quilting and embroidery go so well together.  I really like the scrappy feel of your collages; they are very cheerful and warm.

Thank you all so much for your cheery comments they are all well received like a mug of steamy hot chocolate for the soul.  I reallly enjoyed doing the embroideries for this piece and feel another embroidery binge coming on sometime very soon.  Just so you know I also have two previous posts in Needlework completed projects these are Embroidery homage! and Embroidered scrap fabric cushion.
go have a peek and let me know what you think.

I like the vintage feel.  It reminds me of my grandmother's house that was built in the 30s.
