A pack of squids bobbing around xmastime would be 100% awesome.

I am seriously tempted to make a bunch of different types of squids and give them out for christmas. I've got a ton of purple plaid fabric crying out to be squidy. I love the pattern and the whole hat is just too cute.

Funny!
I think the fancy thread would be the hard way to do it.
I would just buy one of the little kits from Michaels or Walmart Christmas dept with 10 LED's and battery pack and make a holder so that it can be removed for washing. I have one that uses 3AA batteries so I can recharge them, might be a bit heavy for your head. The soldering is already done and insulated. Walmart had T-shirt's for Halloween with lights in them you could cannibalize or look for something similar. At one point kits were being sold for making shirts with lit Christmas trees, multi color lights, expensive coin type batteries. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find a kit online.

ohmigoodness!  I've been waffling back and forth on what warm fleecy thing to make my best friend for Xmas, since she lives in the arctic tundra (aka, upstate New York), and I think I've found a winner!   Grin
