So it's DH's b-day, and he loves cake, logically I make one. It's devil's food cake, with homemade butter cream, and marshmallow fondant. Since we're both huge fantasy geeks, I figured what's better than...A DRAGON!




I sculpted him out of MMF.


The wings were a little problematic, and didn't want to stand up


here's the whole thing.

Lessons learned, it's harder to cover a round cake than a square cake with MMF. I need to get some rubber gloves because my hands are blue (blue mixed with green for most of the draggie)

That is incredible! I too think the wings look great down. Makes it look as if they're folded over the back for a more comfortable sleep  Smiley

Also, I just noticed your avatar. Is it a reference to cakewrecks?
