This was made for the Childfree swap. It's exactly what it looks like...a boob.

I filled it with beans so that it can be popped in the microwave for a minute or so before you hop in bed and keep your tootsies warm while you drift off to sleep.

It looks disturbingly real and was the source of much laughter for visiting friends and family.

Lol. I was thinking that too...and then I had a disturbing image of looking under my covers and having someone's boobs on my toes and having no idea where they came from.

I know it's pretty ridiculous but I wanted tit to have some utilitarian purpose besides just being a knit boob. I think it adds to the absurdity of having a knit boob in your home.

I'm sure my swap partner cuddles up with it every night and it gently warms her to sleep. At least that is how I imagined it going down in my head while I was knitting the thing.

What sort of beans do you use? I've been wanting to make something with beans to heat, but I don't know what your supposed to use.
Thanks (:

I used dry black beans. I wanted them to be small to distribute the heat evenly, but not so small that they would fall through the holes. I think that you can use any bean as long as its dry. Don't use pop corn obviously.

I think that dry beans smell better when heated than dry rice. Dry rice kind of has a urine smell to it while beans smell more like burnt toast.  Undecided  Hey I'll take burnt toast over dry urine any day.

I prefer popcorn to burnt toast or dry urine.   I use popcorn in my heating pads and, as long as you don't nuke it for more than 2 minutes, they don't pop.  They hold heat very well, and smell nice!

Hmmm black beans, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks (:
And as for popcorn, probably smells better, but I wouldn't risk it popping in my knitting! ha
