So my first attempt at a dress didn't really go well. I got good comments on it, but it wasn't made well and it was uncomfortable. Here it is:

(Just the dress. The jacket was bought.)

So after seeing this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=107286.0
And the many posted on Craftster (sorry for posting another one) I had to at least try it.

So I cut up that dress and made this (the blouse was bought)

And I love it. I've worn it out a couple of times and have gotten great comments on it. (Though credit is given where credit is due.)

The only problem I have with it is the zipper. I used this cheap zipper and it only works if you work on zipping for a while. Otherwise, the teeth don't lock together well and this happens:

Love the dress(both versions actually)  I really do understand about your zipper too.  All I can say is at least you can sew a zipper on Roll Eyes(still trying to learn)

I like it, it's cute Smiley As far as the zipper goes, at least you can always pick up another zipper and take the old one out if it's really a pain. I know, easier said then done. Kinda like when I make something for myself and wear it before finishing the seams, I always tell myself I'll finish it up later.  Cheesy
