My niece is gonna be 5 in April...she's had the disney princess dresses...I want to make her a 'real' princess dress...  I've only ever sewn for myself (and most times that's too big)  Has anyone made this dress....is it hard???

I want to make the dress, and a tuffet...gonna be way cute!  Any help is GREATLY apprecitated!!(sp?)

I checked out patternreview.com.. .they had a review...I guess it was helpful Huh  I guess I'm just gonna have to take the plunge and just go for it!! I'll definitely post pics when done!!   Grin

I saw that pattern and absolutely loved it.  Too bad most of the kids in my family are boys.  I think you should definitely try it...even if it's hard, it will still be motivating to work on it since it looks so cool! :^)

At least, that's what I would figure....

I am using this one right now.  I am doing the option with the overskirt peices and the gauntlets.  It seems very straight forward and easy an dI have only sewed easy patterns before.  I am making mine with a shiny pink bodice and overskirt with an all white floral print for the underskirt, gauntlts and sash.  I have to have myine done by the end of the week which seems feasible with this pattern.  I will let you know how it turns out and try to get a pic of it although I don't have a digi cam.
