I've made a slew of handbound journals for gifts:
A meditation journal, birding notebook, and a list notebook, all personalized:

A horror theme recipe book using the tutorial found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=273316.0

The birding notebook used graph paper and the others used lined

A steampunk journal for me and a World of warcraft one for my DH. He routinely plays a gnome so I went with an engineering type theme. The images are all hand drawn on, since my transfer method bombed. I really like the corset octopus one since I did that freehand all the way trying to combine to victorian elements

I also made a couple of pens for the steampunk ones from these cool little gadgety type pens that look like links and open up to be pens. Original the pens were pink and green:

Those are great! I love those pens! I would love to make some. Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to make those?

The original pen was a link that pulled out and twisted so you could write, so the cool function of the pen was not my doing. THey were 59 cents on clearance at Rite Aid in bright neon colors.

I painted the pens with gold acrylic paint and then added copper tape (the kind you use in stained glass work) to the joints where if it were a metal pen it would be welded together.  Then I glued on black round half beads where the rivits would be.
