my 2nd attempt at this hat and it does fit better but is still tight enough that she cant knock it off (she's great at doing that to hats) i decided to make matching mittens cause i loved the pattern so much! i think they look cute together!

oh and sorry for the mess in the photos my sons been home from preschool for 4 days and i've been sick

What a cute hat!  (and cute little girl  Smiley) You did a really good job on it, and the mittens.  I have not gotten the nerve to try making cables yet.  How long did it take you to make the set?  I made a hat for my son's first birthday but had to put earflaps on it because he won't keep hats on anymore.  He still tries to pull it off though . . .  Tongue

i'm guessing about 4 hours it's hard to tell my kids kept bothering me heaven forbid my attention shouldnt be on them all the time!
it was super easy once you got used to it! i really recommend it!
yea my daughter is like that too (with pulling off hats) she's 14 months i was thinking of making ear flaps too hehe. i figgure with the mittens it'll slow her down
i want to make alot of hats this season since i lose stuff easily... next i am going to try to make one for my son he's 3 but the size of a 4 year old
